BigTex 1 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 I haven't seen this posted anywhere since we're all so focused on the Sharks, but if we don't catch them we can still overtake the Bruins, which would be a major deal if we met them in the SCF. I think it's time to cheer for the Candiens tonight.

hmmthesharks 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 I hope Phoenix has one of those games where they play like an NHL team and completely demolish the Sharks. Honestly, I don't see that happening tonight. The Sharks know what they can accomplish by winning tonight, and on top of that, Clowe and Marleau will be back in the lineup which only leaves 2 players (Mitchell, Huskins) on the injured list. Hopper15 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) I hope Phoenix has one of those games where they play like an NHL team and completely demolish the Sharks. Not going to happen. The Sharks will lock up the conference and the Presidents' trophy tonight. Edited April 9, 2009 by Hopper15
EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Anyone just see the BS goal against the Flyers by the Rangers? Biron made the save, had the puck, not called dead and then got pushed into the goal and after review, it's still a goal. Pathetic.
evilmrt 636 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 So Boston won it in OT against the Habs because Price sucks and shouldn't be out there. I was surprised by the complete lack of composure on Boston's part...they almost lost. How many times were there 4 guys in the penalty box for the Bruins at once?? And how did you like the Recchi goal? Lapierre got manhandled and turned it over....score
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 10, 2009 What's interesting to me is how much of a force Recchi still is. 4 points and despite being old he's still contributing rather nicely. Boston will be pretty exciting to watch in the playoffs.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Randy Hahn just jinxed the Sharks with his Nabby just got a shutout talk and voila, Coyotes 1, Sharks 0. Meaningless game for the Wings though.

EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Well, he called himself on it afterwards. Goes to show without superstition there is no hockey. Very true, but what on earth posesses a person to talk about a goalie having a shut out when you have barely even started the game? I mean, I was kind of zoning him out. Is Nabby on the verge of a shutout record or something? Even then... Ah well, I don't really care about it enough to analyze. I do hope the Coyotes can keep this lead. It sort of seems like the Sharks have the "play only the last ten minutes of every game and hopefully squeak out a win" disease.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 panthers eliminated...too bad, they needed the playoff app more than the rangers or the habs I'm kind of pissed about that. I was pulling for them. But they really should've made a sizeable move at the deadline if they were going to do something.

Vladifan 680 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 As poopily as our guys played - especially in the third - this game is like ongoing eye candy. What I reeeeeally want to think is that the pressure is getting to the fanged fins and that it carries over into the playoffs.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Is Montoya - the goalie for the Coyotes - the same kid that played for Michigan? Thanks in advance.
EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Fight between Setiguchi and Hansel (or however you spell their names). Fairly short but entertaining. The crowd was in it for sure.
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 hahah, anyone hear the Sharks announcers? Lol! They are talking about the: "Gordy Howe hat trick"- paraphrased: Announcer1: "What is the Gordy Howe hat trick?" Announcer2: "It's just what they call it" Announcer1: "It must mean something?" Announcer2: "I guess it's just a weird hockey tradition with no meaning?" Announcer1: "Yeah, it must be!" What IDIOTS!!!! Then they ask if Gordie Howe ever got a Gordie Howe hat trick. Uh, hello? I think the answer is pretty obvious.
