Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Gonna give him up to us? Who else is more like Conklin that is accessable? Conks will be UFA after this season, and is not expected to re-sign in Detroit, since we're out of minor league options for our most senior prospect Jimmy Howard. Mike 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Conklin would be a good fit for SJ. They play a very similar style to Detroit, and he's good enough to provide both pressure for the starting job on your starter, and provide quality backup goaltending when you rest your #1. Not being too familiar with their salary situation, how far against the cap is SJ projected to be? They will need at least a $1 million to sign Conklin. He played well this season and has the raise coming to him.
David 2 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Sharks back up by 1. Wings aren't likely to be able to keep Conklin on the team next season, regardless of where Hossa signs. Probably going to call up Larsson or Howard. Every team has two goaltenders, and many of the backups who see limited action because of the 50-60 game starters aren't exactly slouches, and they often come cheap. I'm just not sure if the Sharks will do it. It'll be a great idea though. Some team will want Boucher, he's not that bad of a backup.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 There's just no good side here - either Pronger wins the series or Lemieux wins the series. Which is the lesser of two evils? I'd like the Sharks alot better if that ******-bag fossil wasn't wearing one of their jerseys....

kylee 727 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 It's funny watching the President Trophy winners struggle with the 8th seed, lol. this game has ot written all over it. true but i think we all should have seen this coming. the ducks are in 8th place yes, but they also have a lot of the same players who won the stanley cup in 2007 as well. they know how to win the playoffs. and the sharks cant seem to make it happen in the playoffs regardless of what place they are seeded. TheOwl 77 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Why are you guys cheering for San Jose!! This is horrible!!!! Who would you rather face, Anaheim or Vancouver! Definitely not Vancouver, GO DUCKS GO DUCKS, GOOOOO!
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) Why are you guys cheering for San Jose!! This is horrible!!!! Who would you rather face, Anaheim or Vancouver! Definitely not Vancouver, GO DUCKS GO DUCKS, GOOOOO! We would destroy either team. All kidding aside, the Wings match up better with the Cancuks. In order to score on Luongo, you have to take low shots so that you can get rebounds which lead to garbage goals. The Wings score a lot of those types of goals.
