I feel so bad for JR and Todd. ******* pathetic Sharks.

He's still got a chin that rivals Jay Leno. Since he's down there maybe they can stand side by side?

Game Joke over.

So it's likely going to be the Canucks and Flames/Hawks.

Would be cool to see a Canucks/Flames series on that end.

Yeah I don't really see either of those teams going past the Canucks. And the thing is, if DET ever meets them it'll be like Team Sweden tryouts.

nice pic from sharks forum...deadshark.jpg

That sand is way too clean to be from California. Especially the Bay Area.

There weren't as many good ones as when they were down 2-0, but when a ducks fan said have fun golfing this was the response

Have fun with detroit too. See you on the greens in a few weeks, and soon enough, we will be on the same level again.

I can't believe the crap I just watched for the last 3 hours. Of all the lame efforts, Joe's was unbelievably bad. I think he was a -3. Terrible giveaways, terrible gliding/coasting, no semblance of a backcheck until late in the 3rd...seriously WTF?!? Boston looks like geniuses right now, Ron Wilson must be laughing his ass off....

I don't recognize the team in Sharks jerseys on the ice. They're not the team I watched most of the year.

I suppose they could win one at home Saturday, then steal one on Tuesday in anaheim...then a game 7 back home where anything can happen...but not with the effort I saw tonight. They were straight up embarrassed.

I get the feeling they sprinted to the President's trophy and are now winded.

Something definitely has to change though for the Sharks. In the highly likely event they get eliminated here, someone else should be named Captain and Joe should be under threat of being moved. What's Joe's contract status anyways?

seriously. big joe CAN'T step up his game. he can't handle intensity! it's embarrassing to watch him and the sharks play like this in the playoffs after such a regular season. they look like they don't care at all - did you see joe just skate away from the scrum without showing any feelings at all...?? pretty much sums him up.. geez..

i'm not even a fan of the sharks but i still get frustrated! wow

I'm watching the Pens' post-game now and I have to say, Crosby just sounded so mature. When they brought up the dissallowed goal, I fully expected Crosby to whine about it and use it as the excuse for why they lost. But he didn't in his press conference and just accepted what happened without excuses. Thank you for surprising me :)

His agent has advised him to save his whining for the ice where the media can't hear it.

You know, Yzerman went through a long lean stretch before they won. But you could never doubt his commitment and passion. His leadership on the ice was part of what finally got the wings to turn the corner and get the first cup. The sharks are talented, but they play with no heart and no passion. Isn't it ironic that Marleau and Thorton are both Canadien. Put that it in your pipe and smoke it Don Cherry.

So apparently changing the coach wasn't the answer...hmmm go figure.

What the sharks lack is a true leader. Someone like Iginla. That type of player that the team will rally behind. That truly leads by example. That is a captain. Skill AND heart AND desire. I just don't see it in my team right now and that's terribly painful to type.

Many other teams can say the same thing. No worries, your Sharks will be there soon enough.

In years past I thought Grier ought to be captain, but even he's been a bit quiet this playoff. Maybe Clowe? A captain doesn't have to be a superstar. Either way, I don't think the Sharks can have Marleau and Thorton wearing a C and an A for another year--Marleau certainly can't be captain, and at least one of them should be moved to shake up the roster. But the team won the President's Trophy--it's absurd that some people are talking about a teardown.

when I see JT and all that talent it makes me allude to Sergei Fedorov at his peak. these guys have gobs of talent and ability, undoubtedly the best on their teams... but Sergei just was never meant to lead. heaven forbid if we had kept #91 and instead shipped out Stevie Y before the 97 Cup.

I say keep Thornton and Marleau, maybe bring back Owen Nolan and slap the "C" on him. Roenick and Claude are dead weight that must be jettisoned.

Fedorov was nothing short of heroic in the playoffs and was not relied on the be a go-to leader like Thornton & Marleau are. I see no relevant comparison.
