Yeah, like Pav's scoring, Kronwall is overdue for a highlight reel hit. But whatever, as long as they win.

GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted April 30, 2009 I'd love to see Kronwall lay out Corey Perry with a huge open ice hit. Then we can all enjoy seeing that blabbermouth crawl and stumble his way to the bench, much like Avery did when Fedorov hit him a few nights back. Honestly, I don't know why Kronwall was so eager to lay people out last year, but seems timid now. It seemed like every game last year he would deliver a big hit, but it hasn't carried over into this season.

You really can't play the way he did last postseason over the course of an entire regular season and not be banged up as hell. I figured it was a matter of "saving himself" for the playoffs, but he hasn't stepped up physically yet. Hopefully that'll change and we may need it to against this Anaheim team. jollymania 162 Report post Posted April 30, 2009 (edited) Kronwall had nash lined up once in the last series, he definitely stopped looking for hits after the first 2 games Edited April 30, 2009 by jollymania

The Wings played Columbus. The playoffs haven't really started yet! Except for the 4th game, the scores were 4-1, 4-0 and 4-1. Hitting the Blue Jackets is almost the same as playing against a PeeWee team and hitting one of kids. Kronwall was still saving himself for when it matters.
