dawings1905 2 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) Just wondering if he was available to insert into the lineup if needed? I have looked for playoff rosters and cannot find anything. I have been watching/enjoying hockey for nearly 30 years, and I for some reason don't know how the playoff rosters work. I know how they work in minor league hockey. In the minors you have to set your roster before the playoffs begin. I guess if the NHL doesn't do this, then the question is.....Can we recall players at any time during the playoffs? Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 Yes. The roster size is unlimited, the salary cap doesn't apply, and players can be recalled at any time.
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 I think the wings are going to be a little more hesitant to bring up the farm because the Griffins are also in the playoffs, and have advanced to the second round. Players will be brought up if needed, but they will not bring up players if they are just going to be practicing and not playing.

Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 He could play, but as far as I know Holland said he would allow Babcock to recall Leino only if there is a pernament spot for him on the team.
CenterIce 83 Report post Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) I think they have something now where you can only have 4 non-emergency call-ups, while your AHL team is still playing. I think that is how it goes. Edited May 1, 2009 by CenterIce
