In case your wondering who the other 2 are...

Todd McLellan of the San Jose Sharks, Claude Julien of the Boston Bruins and Andy Murray of the St. Louis Blues are the finalists for the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's coach of the year.

Good to hear for McLellan, though that's some stiff competition and I heavily doubt he'll be winning it. Still a great honor to be nominated especially with an already exceptionally gifted team.

The story of the year was Andy Murray of the Blues with his team's comeback just to make the playoffs. At least, this got the most attention so I imagine he will win this. All these guys deserve it.

I agree - I also think Hitchcock should have been nominated for getting the Jackets into the POs for the first time.

McLellan took a stacked (well regular season stacked) team that was a 2 seed last year and just continued where they left off (complete with PO flop). I personally don't think he was deserving of the nomination.

McClellan is great, and he did wonders for San Jose. However, they still bombed in the playoffs. Not his fault, but I think that should coutn against him. Then again, they vote on this before the playoffs, so it won't matter, he'll win.

Julien had all kinds of talent to work with.

Same with McLellan.

Murray took a young, injury-riddled, bottom-feeder to the playoffs. That simply can't be overstated. Name one guy who that team relied upon to carry them - the fact is, you cant. It speaks to Murray's coaching that he was able to get that team to the playoffs despite the fact that they had no stand-outs.
