Do you want Rafalski back?

I could care less if he comes back. The Wings have enough to win the cup with the squad we got now. A couple changes need to be made (Meech in-Chelios out, Helm up-Holmstrom down, Draper in-Maltby out), but other than that, we can beat the Ducks without Rafalski. I want the Wings to disclose what's wrong with him so the fans can put the Rafalski issue to bed. It's irritating to sit here wondering.

stop posting in this forum plz

Why would anyone want Rafalski back? Certainly his absence has nothing to do with the Wings' trouble moving the puck out of their own zone. It certainly has nothing to do with the PP looking lost at times with Stuart and Ericsson on the point in his place.

Look, Ericsson's filled in admirably, but his lack of experience has been exploited at times this series. The Wings are a much better team with Rafalski in the top pairing and Ericsson playing with Lebda (or preferably Lilja) on the third pairing.

Yes I think as a Wings fan watching this serious we definitly need him back. The Ducks are a big physical team that dumps and fore checks hard. The more skilled puck moving d man we have the better, saying that meech can do that is absurd. We also need him back to be able to punish the Ducks on our PP, they take dumb penalties and while were scoring once in a while Raf would vastly improve our PP unit. Why are you even posting something so moronic anyways.....almost feels like a troll alert.

Really, I think you're the only one obsessing over this. Why do you start threads about Rafalski and then say you wish fans would stop talking about him? See the irony?

Settle down, drink a beer, and stop posting every thought that comes into your head ...

Of course I do. Why wouldn't the Red Wings want half of their top defensive pairing back? Rafalski would certainly be a boost to the powerplay and Ken Daniels was exactly right the other night when talking about how Rafalski's absence really hurts the Red Wings breakout from their own zone. Rafalski is quite possibly a series changer and the longer he doesn't play, the less I like the Red Wings chances of winning.

Oh, and Rafalski coming back means no more Chelios. That in itself is enough for me.

I've read most of the OP's posts and deem him an idiot. At least a troll. With anger issues.

Why should Helm be kept on the 4th line?

To me it appears he's 1 of the few who doesn't mind getting his nose dirty/drive to the net which is what we need alot more of...Helm driving to the net/digging out loose pucks in the corners will most likely free up Dats/Hossa to get into better scoring positions.

Our so called shot advantage over the Ducks is rather paltry when you look at how many of these shots are taken from very bad angles, or 20 plus feet away from the net with nobody around the crease for a re-direction, or a rebound.

Its great that he works hard and skates well. But he doesn't have the skillset, experience, or wherewithal to handle a Datsyukian dangle pass, know where to go for the redirect, or know where to expect a pass from the league's best.

If Helm were on the 1st line, he would do exactly what he does on the 4th - bring energy, skate hard, hit, and not score.

Rafalski is the kind of guy (small and frail) that gets MANHANDLED in a series like this. Say what you want, but I don't think the Wings benefit all that much from having a hurt Rafalski in the line-up against Anaheim right now. I get what you guys are all saying. Rafalski obviously is a valuable player to the Red Wings, or they wouldn't have paid him 6 million a year. I just don't think that the Wings and their fans should have all this speculation and debate over Rafalski and what his status is. Why not just call him done and move on. The guy is hurt. Let him be hurt, but don't say "maybe monday. No. Not monday. Maybe wednesday. No. Not wednesday. Maybe ...." That's garbage. It's annoying.

You weren't here last year with the Mule. It's the playoffs, dude- the team isn't saying s*** about any injury. At all. For whatever reason.

pointless topic, why would u say that u dont want him back? this sounds like a great idea lets put meech in who has less expierence over a guy who is one of out best defenders. this isnt a fantasy team dude he actually helped out last year during the run

I didn't say that I didn't want him back. Can some of you people read? I'm just saying that I'm not going to blame any losses to the Ducks on Rafalski being out. And I'm indifferent as to whether he plays anymore in this Stanley Cup run. I've always thought he was gravy training off Lidstrom and more minutes, anyways. Are the Wings better with him in the line-up rather than Chelios? Hell ya. So do I want him back if he's 100%? Well, yah. Duh. But I'm just saying that I'm ok with the Wings not getting him back. All I want to know is if it's going to happen or not. I'm sick of the secrecy and the lack of information. It's really pointless. It's not like the Ducks are sitting in their locker room having a dilema as to how to play if Rafalski is in the line-up or out of the line-up. They're going to come out, run our goalie, hook our forwards, yell at the officials to make sure the game is called 50/50 with power plays, and pray that the Wings keep shooting the puck into Hiller's chest and mitt. The Wings have a lot bigger fish to fry than whether or not Rafalski is in the game, is all I'm saying. I don't think Rafalski would have made this series 3-0 Wings right now. Get my drift?

And the title of this thread says you are indifferent at this point.

Yes, we can read. And it sounds like you are the only one obsessed with it.

Let it go. He will play when he can play.

It's the playoffs, doofus. No one discloses injuries.
