No Suspension for Scott Walker.

Walker is a punk. That's not toughness. That's stupidity. If you're going to fight, man up. The bad thing is that the Bruins can't afford a major to get proper payback. If the next game gets out of hand someone needs to send Walker into next Saturday.

Horses***. The fact that they actually made the decision to rescind an automatic suspension absolutely floors me. I figured they would take the coward's way out and let the one-game automatic stand. They've got balls alright, but no brains to back 'em up. It's as if Brian Burke is the league's disciplinarian all over again. I don't know what Ward was thinking just standing there like a dummy, but Walker had plenty of time to hold back.

If we beat Anaheim and get Chicago, somebody needs to "instigate" a fight with Toews or someone (read: randomly punch him in the face until you hear a crunch.) Doesn't have to be a fourth-liner even! Let's have Franzen do it, he's pretty big. Doesn't matter - he won't get suspended. Maybe we can set up a springboard so Kronwall can really leave his feet for a hit, and lead with his elbow even. Apparently the league isn't interested in making sure people don't get hurt, so all this will be OK.

Keith Jones and Versus actually did a really good job of showing the incident Ward initiated that led to Walker's actions. Ward threw an elbow at Cullen's head, which led Walker to step in to defend his teammate. From that perspective, the idea that Walker thought he was in an altercation doesn't seem so far-fetched.

While I still think what he did was worthy of a suspension, it definitely made it a lot easier to understand the league's decision.
