wingsfanforlife 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 You know, if the Bruins played the Hurricans in a best of 7 series 10 times, the Bruins would win nine of the series. So what happened to the Bruins? was it just the Hurricanes playing real good or are the bruins some playoff bust like the sharks. Happy Pancake 6 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 It would seem they were a bust like the Sharks.

RyanK 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Thats a real tough call. I thought the Bruins did everything right but at every turn so did Carolina. It's just one of those things I guess. It should have gone the other way because Boston is more deserving. Also, I figured that they could take out little *** boy "face of the NHL". No chance that the canes beat him though. Now, anyway you cut it, should we get through chicago (highly likely) we're going to have a rematch either from 02 or 08. I wanted Boston. I could taste it. adtthosa 5 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 I don't think you can say Boston choked. They were only one lucky bounce away from a Conference Finals berth. In the games I watched, Carolina consistently looked better. That combined with Ward's excellent goaltending was just too much for Boston. Carolina just has something special going for them right now.
Jones31 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Boston as most of the time, just came up short. I enjoyed watching them lose.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 All year we heard about their depth up front. The problem is when you scan that roster you'll notice there's no *current* all-world talent. When their depth couldn't get timely goal-scoring, they had no one to turn to when they needed an offensive leader. That's why they're out.

GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Carolina is just a weird team. They won the Cup a few years ago with this core roster, then they missed out on the playoffs for several years with this same group, and now here they are back in the semis. They're just a bizzarre team, but don't forget for a moment that they're a former Cup champion, and not some young team that's all of a sudden playing hot out of nowhere. Actually, they're not even a young team, but are full of veteran players.

Give me your oppinions What happened to the Bruins last night is what could've happened to the Wings- they lost in game seven to a team that refused to give up. The Bruins have nothing to be ashamed of and neither do the Ducks... game sevens are always heartbreakers like that.
Glubki 17 Report post Posted May 15, 2009 Chara didn't have a very good series other than a couple of games, Axelsson wasn't very good, Yelle was subpar, Blake Wheeler disappeared, their power play sucked and the Hurricanes outmatched their intensity...
