No Justification for Hossa and Dats on same line

Allright, let me start off that I am normally a firm belvier in putting our best goal scorer with our best playmaker... but ever since Hossa's hot streak ended in febuary, both ahve palyed lethargic toghether.

Anyone with the gift of useable eyes can notice that Hossa plays much better as the dominant force on his line, rather then the recpient.

The same can be said for Pavel, It seems like he is too worried setting up Hossa, Instead of playing his normal game.

Do not get me wrong, both are great players, and have been playing stud-like defensivily, but the Points just arent coming when they are together. Look at the last 2 games, No datsyuk, Hossa is able to dictate flow of his line as he is used too... and the result is 5 points in 2 games, 4 being goals. Game 4 Vs ducks, Hossa played with Franzen adn Flipulla.

While I realise both are expected to play first line minutes, it is simply not benifical to play them on the same line.

When we got Hossa, I thought it was a no brainer that we would have another elite winger to play with our asset Filppula, leave the DZH line to its chemistry and replace Samuelsson with Hossa on the Filppula and Franzen line. I think Val and Marian have some damn good chemistry.

Cleary with Z&D, Filp and Hossa with Franzen. Game over, Homer on the 4th line with Draper and Maltby/Leino/Abdelkader.

Thank you. Jesus, so many of us have said something like this for weeks. Today with a new linemate Hossa suddenly has two goals again. Duh Babcock? Duh? Do you get it now?

Pavel and Hank didn't play well together in the Anaheim series, so I'm not sure that will work.

At this point, all the line combos are a mess because Datsyuk is out. Chances are that if he comes back, the lines will be juggled again, despite today's game.

To be fair, Anaheim's offensive style is much different along with arguably the best defense in the league. Maybe Pav and Z play better together against teams who aren't as good. But I'm sure you already thought of this.

Not really, but now that you mention it, I only see it working if either Hossa or Franzen are on the other wing. Homer is not a top line forward at this point. Too many guys are outplaying him.

Or Cleary. He's been on fire somewhat. Why not?
