The city of Detroit Michigan has had a love affair with this team that spans nearly a century. We have eleven cups,....4 since 97' forgive us if at times we appear bored. You can keep Cindy, with a whiny ***** like that, he does not, and will never know what TEAM play is about. He hangs out at the side of the net until the puck finds its way to him. truebladearmy 33 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 wings fans are so ridiculous. if people don't bow down and worship the wings, you get mad. keith jones and engblom have nothing but good things to say about the wings. it sounds like jonesy likes Pitt in this series, but so what? the league does not center around you, despite the self-named hockeytown thing. It pretty much does center around Detroit -- If it centers around anybody, it is Detroit. Detroit finals generate more than double the revenue and ratings than any other team since the mid 90's. As soon as Detroit gets knocked out, interest in the playoffs generally cuts in half. with the Anaheim --> Buffalo finals a few years ago being barely worth the money required to put it in high definition. Otherwise, yes, you can bow down to the current Stanley Cup champions, until someone takes that title away.
