Snazzy 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Zetterberg is a BEAST! He's outplayed both of "THE WORLDZ BESTESTEST PLAYERZ IN THE WHOLE-WIDEZ-WORLDZ" night in, night out. I'm so glad we don't have a two player team, and have to overpay subpar players to come here to play in Detroit. Hank for MVP! Zetterberg has HEART! Show him some love! ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 He was an absolute monster out there tonight. Obviously tired but considering he was dogging Crosby every step of the way, that's to be expected. He was incredible, we rode him like his name was Getzlaf.
Krystal 41 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 I absolutely loved his play tonight. He's an amazing player and I'm going to LOVE seeing that man in a Wings jersey for the next 12 years

esteef 2,679 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 I totally expected him to be offensively aggressive. Let the Pens worry about who's covering HIM! Great job as usual. Worth every penny. esteef
Yak19 303 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Ya great game by Zata, keep it going, the Wings will be ready to play 60 minutes of DRW hockey on thursday, no worries. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RedLightGoesOn 81 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 He did everything in that game. Where were the rest of the Wings?
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 He did everything in that game. Where were the rest of the Wings? Thats what I'm wondering. Filppula and Hossa somehow decided that the object of the game was to hold on to the puck as long as you can, and only take a shot when you had no other options, or a piss poor chance to score. Seriously, Zetterberg can't do everything every night. He scored a goal, he assisted on a goal, and has the biggest offensive assignment of the night. My biggest worry is that Hank is going to run out of gas, and we'll s*** the bed because no one else knows how to step it up.
Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Z's my favorite player. i respect everything he does. he's the most consistently great player in the game as far as my eyes see.

He can take over a shift or two and cover Malkin. Who knows... maybe score a goal?!

Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 I said this last night, with Pavs out, Hank's THE guy out there. He can't do everything, but bless his heart....he's trying. I'll never complain about his effort, he's putting blood, sweat and tears out there. Not the band, though. LOL

Redline 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 To dominate, to own Crosby, last year's Finals and agan this year, awesome. He should be given serious consideration again this year for the Conn Smythe!

RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Funnest player to watch on the ice right now - for EITHER team. We just need a few of our other top guys to step up like that and this thing is done - Hank can't do it alone! (well he almost can)

Z was the MVP by a million miles tonight...he was everywhere and kept us in it single handedly, but your comment on Hossa in particular is spot on and really starting to piss me off. I'm so impressed with his strength, but i can only watch him one arm the puck around the rink so many times before I start yelling at my TV and wishing he'd ******* DO SOMETHING with it. It's like he's waiting for the perfect shot. He creates a lot...but then negates it by holding the puck way too long. But we're up to game four now...so I fully expect to see 2 goals from him thursday night.
