xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 I think his number one problem right now is he doesn't have anyone to work with. He had Homer and Filp on his line last night and every Penguin on the ice was swarming him. Datsyuk would be a very welcome addition to his line right about now. Datsyuk was the reason the Wings weren't doing well against the Ducks. Remember? This injury is a blessing in disguise. You HAVE to break up Datsyuk and Hossa. Hossa should play with Maltby and McCarty. And Datsyuk should be on the Samuelsson - Holmstrom line. Get those 2 non-skill players down on the 3rd and 4th lines. Double shift Holmstrom on the top two lines. That's the way to go, brother. Seriously now. Get Dats and Hoss back together, but get Helmer or Flip up there with them and not Holmstrom. Watch what happens.
C20lw 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Hossa is ready to break out, he wants the Cup too much no to. 2 goals tomorrow; another from Helm, Franzen, Z, and Sammy. Should round off the night nicely. It will be nice to get Dats back, hopefully its soon we could use some of his puck handling to piss off the Pengs D.

puertoricanWingsfan 5 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 It would certainly be a really nice stab to the Pens if Hossa lights the lamp tomorrow... either way, we NEED to win this game

Obviously when Dats is back we'll be running these lines: Mule-Zata-Hudler Dats-Filppula-Hossa Cleary-Helm-Sammy Homer-Abdelkader-Leino That second line is so ******* dangerous for the Pens it's scary; it'll also completely shut down Malkin (as the first line does to Crosby). The precision passing on line 2 would be amazing to see. Also, I'd be a big fan of scratching Homer in favor of Draper for line 4 (both for faceoff wins and for defensive purposes). You could also scratch Leino and keep Homer, but I think Leino has done much more for us than Homer has.

I'd rather see it like this, though: Franzen - Zetterberg - Cleary Datsyuk - Filppula - Leino Hudler - Helm - Hossa Abdelkader-Draper-Samuelsson With as much as the Wings get kicked out of the faceoff circle, this line-up gives us 2 centermen on every line and a balance of our speed. And the Triple H line needs to start NOW!!!

87to71 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2009 Also, I should point out that the Wings scored 6 goals in each of those game 4's and, needless to say, won every time I dont expect the Wings or the Pens for that matter to get 6 goals in Game 4 tomorrow night. So far all 3 of these games have been very close tight games going into the 3rd period and I expect another one yet again tomorrow night. Neither one of these teams is blowing one another out. The Penguins will be just as desperate tomorrow night as they were last night and have a lot of energy once again to start the game. This isnt going to be a blowout like Game 4 was for the Wings against the Hawks. I said on here yesterday if the Wings were going to earn a split in Pittsburgh they were going to have earn every bit of it and that once again will be the case tomorrow night I believe in another close tight game... And the Triple H line needs to start NOW!!! And they thought our bottom six were killing them before.... Although I wonder if Leino can keep up against the Pens second line. Hossa and Helm would be a lethal third line combination. But since Hossa is a shooter and your second line is all playmakers, Hoss and Jay will likely be swapped. In fact Sammy will probably be on the third line. In theory your lines are pretty good, but I trust Babs to put the right lines together.

And the Triple H line needs to start NOW!!! I don't know; that 3rd line isn't really my cup of tea. I moved Cleary to line 3 to give that line some defensive power, and it seems like you've removed it entirely by dropping Hudler down there as well as moving Hossa there and dropping Sammy to line 4. Leino is also not a 2nd line player. The reason he's played pretty well to this point is because he's not pressured by the top 2 lines on the Pens' side. Plus, you don't want to split up Hossa and Filppula. They've been machines when they've been able to cycle. Adding Dats to that line would just be ridiculous, IMO.
