Just a thought

After watching game 5, I really thought about the team next year. I was thinking about who I looked forward to seeing the most, and i guess I made a list. This is totally unrealistic to keep next year, but I just hate seing anybody on another team.

Hudler, the small guy, is probably ahead of Hossa on the list of players I want to keep, but only by a tiny bit. He has definitely been huge part of this team. If he was traded away, who would we call "Happy Hudler"? Who would give Osgood the cluck? He is one of the guys who has the most potential on the team. I don't want to see him go.

Hossa's been a huge forward for us (not currently), and his hunger has definitely helped our team have a motivation. He has been good for us all season, and I want to see him back too. He makes the Flip better, and the Flip is better with him.

And please, don't suggest trading the Flip for room for Hossa, the two have great chemistry, and I want them to stay together on the same team. The Flip's stickhandling is just amazing.

We need hossa to sign a 10 year+ contract thats loaded upfront and 1m a season afterwards. I can imagine that holland will pull it off. Look for hossa to sign for 11 years with: 7.5 7.5 7.5 7.5 7.5 7.5 4 3 1 1 1 CAP HIT: 5M

The more I watch in these playoffs, the more I want to keep Hudler and Samuelsson. Game four against CBJ epitomizes the value of a guy like Happy, he takes the puck from the corner and just crashes the crease. By that point the BJ's were getting more physical and he's only 5'8'' or something like that. That's grit.

Samuelsson, if used properly, is an expert puck-handler. I remember in '08 he, Fil, and Huds were just embarrassing the Coyotes with their puck possession. If you can re-watch the second period of Game Five, Sammy has good hands and can really out-maneuver opposing defensemen. With that said, he belongs no higher than the third line. If played appropriately he's extremely valuable. Plus he's rarely injured and can agitate pretty well.

Other players of interest are Leino and Downey. McCarty won't be re-signed so we'll need Downey. It would be stupid to lose Leino.

I hope Hossa can get his cup and go play for the Leafs or something so we won't have to see him too often. Although with the way our FA's have gone the last few years he'll end up in Chicago or St. Louis.

yeah, but he's being put on a line with draper and malts

he's good with someone like Zetterberg

Samuelsson is good too, as long as he's smart with the puck, but I'd put Leino ahead of him.

Samuelsson is a guy I've liked to watch for a long time too, especially SCF Game 1 :D
