FedorovMan91 1 Report post Posted June 15, 2009 Stuart was the worst player in game 7, I think this is the obvious thing. The real fact: other Wings even did not play good enough. Besides, it looks people feel easy to bash Stuart. He was the best D-man from the playoff start to the playoff before SCF. Nick-very disappointing, looked very lost when Geno and Crosby shifted on the back of the net Rafalski-never hated him but never loved him to be here with 6 million. Good offensive ability but too many turnover Kronwall-don't know what happened. No big hit, meaningless penalties. The worst D in the Wings this season Ericsson-decent performance but showed why he is a rookie D-man Chellios-please retire Stuart-atrocious regular season and very few points. Terrible SCF performance but overall, the best D man from the Wings in the playoff before the final. Lebda-done nothing except for the game 5 against the Hawks I am on the side of bashing Stuart for game 7 but blaming his overall playoff performance? Sometimes I hate being associated with some of you Wings fans because some of you give us all a bad name. But then I soon realize this happens to everyone besides us. Get the f*** over it, we lost... MOVE ON. Talking about it won't do s***. Us Wings fans get so spoiled that we win so much, you can't win them all. You win as a team, you lose as a team. Yes, Stuart made mistakes, but so did plenty of other people. For the mistakes that Stuart made, I could easily make a list of others. Why didn't some players score? Why didn't Osgood stop those shots? Blaming the game on one player is a cop-out. And, heaven forbid, maybe just maybe the Penguins played a better game than Detroit. It is either one or two players just completely sucked and alone cost the Wings the game, or the team is lazy/sucks. Pretty much any franchise would kill to have a rsoter like the Wings. It still doesn't guarantee victory. Other teams are good too, ya konw. And it's not like the Wings played utterly terrible. Pitt just played a bit better the last 2 games. They won fair/sqaure playing better. Exactly, thank you. I think people forget who we are, the DETROIT RED WINGS. We never will really go away, we're always going to be a threat. People would kill to have the talent and depth we have. The Wings played great, not enough to beat the Penguins - but they weren't their normal selves the last two games and that's because Pittsburgh was taking them apart. Hockey is played on ice, but can also be played on a concrete surface with either roller skates or on foot. Golf can only be played on grass or in sand bunkers. You know something? You're right! Remember when he held the puck in the PIT zone in Game 5, and Hudler ended up scoring to give the Wings a 2-1 lead that ultimately lead to a 3-1 series lead? In all honesty, these things happen. It's unlucky and untimely, but it happens. I'm sure Stuart doesn't feel good about himself, but you win as a team and lose as one. That's all there is to say about it.
