Article: Stuart "haunted" by 2 goals

Well, I wouldn't call this "haunted." Does anyone see haunted in this article?

He goes to Maui to heal the pain of the SCF loss. I was just willing to let this go and move on and then I see this article. Never forget these are a bunch of millionaires and while so many in Detroit work their asses off and never screw up, asking a hockey player to do even more does not seem to be asking too much. If Stuart were Japanese he would have done himself in days ago. Of course that is extreme, but a little more of an apology, blame... something.

Yeah, anytime the Wings' season ends with anything less than a Cup, it's usually a good idea to take a two week LGW vacation while all of the blaming and other meaningless craziness goes on here and then dies down.

You're right, Giz, as usual. I wish I could afford to join Stuie in Hawaii for that vacation.

As a small business owner, I've obviously had a number of employees over the years and I've yet to see one who never screws up. That being said, I understand your point.

Stuart is going to Hawaii to deal with a devastating loss. This sounds like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall 2: Forgetting Stanley Cup."

(Lame joke, but I loved that movie)

And the TP is right, that article seems to have left out some important part of the story because I didn't see any reference by Stuart to any personal mistakes he was obsessing over. The author basically wrote a paragraph blaming Stuart for the goals and then threw a couple of quotes in there without proper context. Darren McCarty could've given the same quotes, and he didn't play a minute in the playoffs!

I wonder if "snipers" Franzen and Hossa are feeling like s*** for not potting a god damn goal in 2 games where they had a chance to win the Stanley Cup.

If theres one thing that pisses me of about Red Wings Country, its that whenever we get booted out of the playoffs, its never the forwards fault - always the defense or goaltenders.

people need to stop looking for someone to blame - he had a bad few games, but we flat out don't win in 08 without him - he's still pretty young and will bounce back - give the guy an f'in break.

I can't take anymore of these posts... I am taking a sabbatical from this board until after July 1, if even that soon to keep from reading this idiocy

*note - this is not meant towards the OP, but rather some of the comments and most of the other topics that have been started since the loss.

bye.
