Dominator2005 558 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 That mlive author is on drugs if he thinks some of those players are going to get those kind of raises. Did he forget this is a cap world? Wich players you are talking about?!
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 John Madden won't get anywhere close to 5 million. Mark my words someone will toss Madden 4-5 million next season.
Zetts 236 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Mark my words someone will toss Madden 4-5 million next season. Someone would have to be ridiculously stupid to do that. Edmonton Oilers perhaps? If I was a GM, I wouldn't give him a cent over 2 million. And I'd cringe even at that.
Snazzy 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Wich players you are talking about?! All the old guys and some of the young ones. Bertuzzi is probably worth 2 mill if he's on a team with players that can compliment his style and a coach that can motivate him.

Bertuzzi is probably worth 2 mill if he's on a team with players that can compliment his style and a coach that can motivate him. If Laraque is getting paid $1.5M WHY NEIL or Lappy can't ask for $2M or $2.5M? $4M or $5M for Beauchemin isn't much if you compare him to Rozival or even Stuart... Someone is going to pay $2M for Bertuzzi... Jay Bouwmeester is worth AT LEAST $6m... Larose should ask for same money as Cleary...
Zion 93 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Samuelsson MUST be re-signed. Parros is locked up, and Neil will stay with the lowly Senators, so there is no toughness to be signed. We must keep our enforcer.

T.OWingsFan 7 Report post Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Ian will not come. Legace, Bertuzzi and Dandylion have all been here and not worked. Pahlsson is interesting. A great shutdown centre, but we're very deep in that position and I think Burke in Toronto will go after him. He'd be nice to have IMO and the only one on that list worth a try here, but where would he play? Move Helm and Draper to the wing with Pahlsson at centre? THAT would be a great shutdown line and 2nd PK unit. But no room at centre. Chad Larose is a great worker and would look nice on Helm's line. The rest no thanks. Wing Nut 19 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2009 I'm pleased with what we have right now. We were pretty banged up going into the Finals this year. I would keep what we have if possible. It depends on if some of these guys are willing to play for less to stay here. If not, maybe its time to open up the Grand Rapids gateway and see where we're at come the trade deadline. Those GR rookies could have good pull at the trade deadline if need be.
