StormJH1 231 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 I live in Minnesota now, good riddance. 75% of the fans worship the guy because of their own inferiority complex over their Wild squad. The guy made the product here as boring as possible for 8 seasons, and had one run past the 1st round to show for it. Big effin' deal. The one Cup he won in 1995 (hmm...drawing a blank on what team they beat that year...can't seem to remember) was a strike-shortened season, and he did it with 3 HoF'ers on defense. Then, he proceeded to miss the Playoffs altogether next season. Enjoy.

Sergei Fedorov91 24 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) Destroying the NHL appeal to the masses one team at a time. And congrats the Wild owner for forcing Lemaire and Reisebrough out, that state would explode if it had a exciting contending team. LeftWinger 5,153 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 WOw, all this Lemaire bashing, I thought he was a good coach? I would actually have loved to see him take over Brad McCrimmon's position here... maybe I am totally wrong about him...

If we had him as our defense coach we'd be unstoppable...defense wins Championships, but you need to score to win and we can do that.
ltgator333 3 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 I don't think the guy's a bad coach or anything but the style of play he pushes is as interesting as toast! I got thinking about it yesterday- I vaguely remember him leaving NJ what was the situation when he left? Anyone remember? Yes, Minnesota needs an exciting team. Period. I'm pulling for them. The Devils have never really been able to shake that - so it's fitting that Lemaire returns. Lemaire did OK with what he got with the Wild, but pretty excruciating to watch. Yes I hope the Wild get better - I would like to see them on top of the NW division. p.s. There should be an asterisk next to the '95 Cup because of the strike, but noone seems to remember that now. And yes, there should have still been an asterisk had the Wings won.
