mmamolo 287 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 bleh... I hope your alone on that one. ha I was just joking. Not to be biased but I feel like the Pens are a little young to realize what it's going to be like with a target on your back as the defending cup champs. It's a tough road for any team and Pitts' youth may catch up a little bit. That being said, Malkin is a beast so anythign can happen. But I doubt we see Det-Pitts in the finals again. Yeah Philly really looks like they should be good. Even though I'm not huge on Ray Emery for some reason I really feel like he's going to put together a solid year. Plus Carter and Richards are beasts

Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Wings don't win the conference, but whoever does goes out in the first round. Chicago makes it to the playoffs and is eliminated in the first round. Datsyuk gets over 110 points; Cleary, Franz, Bertuzzi all have great years, but the surprise is Zetterberg who gets 50 goals. (He is nominated for the Hart, but, by law, an Eastern player has to win). Howard gets about 25% of the starts, has a decent record. Maybe something like 13-8-3. Post season sees the Flames, Stars, and then the Nucks. Then the finals with the Caps. Wings win in 6. Edited September 16, 2009 by Wings_Dynasty

topsideplaya 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2009 I like the looks of that. I don't. Too many guys with more goals than assists.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted September 21, 2009 My bold predictions: ~ In every thread, someone on LGW will want Stuart to be traded and not know he has a NMC. And someone else will forget about the difference between an expiring NMC that turns into a limited no-trade clause (the limited part being in Holland's favour) and a NMC. StevieY'sguy 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2009 And someone else will forget about the difference between an expiring NMC that turns into a limited no-trade clause (the limited part being in Holland's favour) and a NMC. it's irrelevant anyway, we need to hang on to stuart
StevieY'sguy 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2009 Phi not pits in finals <- can't wait for highlight reel goodness of Pronger treating Crosby as his ***** all season. Haha no way Pronger will ever catch Crosby...Pronger is about 90 and never was fast and Crosby is 21 and flys....I can see Pitt having a rough go of it in the regular season because everyone will get up for them but I don't see anybody in the East beating them in a playoff series...They have a better chance than we do as far as making it back to the Finals...Hopefully Flip, Bert, and Ozzie can step up big, we will need big years out of them if we want the Cup. Shaman 713 Report post Posted September 21, 2009 I don't. Too many guys with more goals than assists. I didnt predict everyone, and I only projected how I saw via their stats and playing styles how I think a good season would be reflected in their stats. Goals 272 Assists 364 last year in the top 11 There was 246 Goals in the top 11 players and 356 assists in those same 11 players. Now my prediction is bold, but the G/A ratio is almost the same (my prediction 1 assist for every .74 goals vs 1 Assist for every .69 goals scored). My prediction isnt scientific just me having fun and taking what I do know about hockey, the players on the team, and what they could produce in a perfect world. And food for thought, people are predicting Flip gets 10 to 30 more points, I dont believe he will, and I do believe that some players wont hit those marks, but again these are bold predictions. I am thinking that we will have about 295 goals for the wings this year because, while I think the D is better this year, I think goaltending is worse this year. Take my numbers as you will, they were just for fun and hopefully i get some close to the mark.
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted September 23, 2009 Bettman (as a scapegoat for the owners) gets fired for the Coyotes debacle. (a man can dream, no?) I hereby update and revise this prediction to Bettman being fired for contract loophole issues after reading today's puckdaddy.
