waitahochiminute 2 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Was it me or did it look like Duchene and the Avs were skating circles around San Jose lastnight? They looked good...
Theophany 110 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 To be honest, I took that more as SJ sucking, not the Avs being a great team. They're average, IMO, if they keep playing like they did last night. They definitely DID have more fire, though. SJ looked like they had just woken up from a 48 hour nap.
kidish 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Anderson (is that right?) was pretty ******* solid in goal. I thought the entire Avs lineup just looked more prepared to play. San Jose...they looked teh sux. Heatley can't backcheck worth s***. Their D looked tired. Thornton was just ok, but he can't do everything. And their former captain...still clearly leads the team. Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 I think you forget the Leafs/Wings home opener. How did the Leaves end up doing?

k3sparks 1 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Duschene looks like a good skilled player, but he is only 18 so he has a long way to prove he is going to be a power in the NHL. I think the av's were just a little more pumped for it being sakic night too... anyone remember who we played and the score of Yzerman night?

Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Duchene looked fantastic! Incredibly quick and found himself with a couple of real good scoring chances, he actully should've had at least 1. Uses his body well on the PP to screen the puck, got huge potential that's for sure.
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Fighting and an OT point. Better than nothing. I was talking about last year's home opener and how they ended up doing in the regular season.

Extremely boring game if I recall corectly.
