Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) http://tsn.ca/blogs/?id=293969 The New Jersey Devils have put veteran forward Brendan Shanahan on waivers to get him off their roster. The 40-year old winger re-signed for one year with the Devils as an unrestricted free agent on August 5 with the intention of playing a 22nd NHL campaign, but reconsidered his plans at the beginning of this month. With 656 goals, Shanahan ranks 11th on the all-time goal-scoring list. A three-time Stanley Cup winner with the Detroit Red Wings, Shanahan signed with the Devils as a free agent midway through last season, and returned to the team where he started his NHL career in 1987. In 34 games for New Jersey last year, Shanahan counted six goals and eight assists. He could be this years Chelios. skacore 2 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Id have him on our 4th line over Draper and Maltby any day. I'd take him over Williams on the 3rd line not have him play a 4th line role..... but my 4th line wouldn't include Maltby that's fo sho
Dominator2005 558 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 I would have rather Shanny instead of Homer on Pavel's line... Shanny - Dats - Franzen Bert - Zetterberg - Cleary Leino - Flip - Homer/Williams Helm/Maltby/Eaves - Draper/Helm - Homer/Williams Give Homer time on PP, waive Williams ( ) and that's it

Redline 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2009 Shanahan saw the writing on the wall when he decided to leave originally. If his name was only Shanahansson it would of been a different story
