Guest Crymson Report post Posted October 19, 2009 (edited) Sadly, on topic, I agree with the shred of hockey in all your nastiness, the Wings in no way were blown out in that series. Not even close. It was a brutal battle and the best series in the playoffs and I have to say I was proud of our team - they went down fighting (all except Jason Williams in game 6). As Jason Williams was not with the organization at that point, you may indeed be sure of that. I meant blown out as in red wings being extremely soft and ducks just hammered them, take a look at ducks lineup from the 06-07 season it was crazy... Yeah, right. Nice cover-up attempt. First, your claim that you actually meant something along the lines of 'yeah, the Wings started badly that year, and then they got physically hammered by the Ducks' doesn't fit; indeed, it makes no sense whatsoever. How that team started record-wise does not at all relate to how physical the team was in the playoffs. Further, the Red Wings put up a good fight in the physical department during that series. They were not physically dominated. As others have noted, it was an extremely close series in every regard. But for a couple of horrible calls and a good many key injuries, the Wings would have won it. Just go ahead and admit that you were being mindlessly pessimistic to an immense degree, having made farcical claims in order to support your runaway negativity. It's very obvious already. Who else loved that? i did! maybe that would make everyone stop panicking 7 games into a season with a team that has a lot of new faces, and some old new faces. and on a bright note, z is at a point a game pace. dats WILL get going once his "upper body" injury is taken care of. the guy had back to back 87 and 97 points in the last 4 years. Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 If we didn't score a single goal or averaged 1 goal a game and 4-5 goals a game against over the first five games I might have started to worry, but I think I'm also one of the people at LGW that has no idea where the panic button is at all haha No, you're not the only one. Too many people around here quick to jump up and down and scream over nothing. We've played what, 6 games? Out of 82? The third week of October is not the right time to start decrying the season. I don't get it. We haven't played well and clearly a lot of things need work, but it's October! All the wannabe Miss Cleos here, prognosticating we're going to do this that or the other in the playoffs or not even make the playoffs at all need to retire their crystal balls. If it's April and we're still playing like this, then it's time to make a pronouncement on the season. Can we at least wait until the Olympic break before we all start lamenting? I'm assuming you're kidding about the Ducks beating the Wings. You realize the Ducks are 2-4-1 right?
