Guest Four Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Why is there always nights with no hockey? The NHL really couldn't create a schedule where there is atleast one game a night?

Zion 93 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 I'm starting to get into football a little, and today was a great day for offense. That said, the talk is all about the Yankees, and baseball just bores me to tears...
Zion 93 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Oh, and the NHL is run by monkeys. Literally. The WORST league in sports.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 The thing that really pisses me off is that there seems to be a lot of holes in the schedule, like the Wings being off for 4 days randomly, and I think the Leafs have like a week off right around now too. With the Olympic break putting a jam on the NHL season as it is, I can't help but think we'll be seeing some hellacious 4 game in 5 night kind of trips later in the season. That and being sans hockey a couple times a week has been irritating.
LeftWinger 5,152 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Why is there always nights with no hockey? The NHL really couldn't create a schedule where there is atleast one game a night? they should also create a schedule where I don't have to wait 5 days for my home teams next game!!! Coming home from Sweden I can understand, but flying from Detroit to Phoenix? Give me a break! They should be playing at least every two days, then we wouldn't have to wait until June for a Stanley Cup Winner!

Hack & Whack Rule! 160 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Oh, and the NHL is run by monkeys. Literally. The WORST league in sports. Monkeys would do a better job with this. Even monkeys that need helmets.
Booster313 138 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 Monkeys would do a better job with this. Even monkeys that need helmets. What if it wasn't a monkey with a helmet, in fact what if it wasn't a monkey at all? What is if was a chimp? Hmmm Some chimps in swimsuits Some chimps in Jackboots Some chimps in hard hats Some chimps who love cats I've got some shaved chimps; that's chimps devoid of any hair I've got depraved chimps dressed up in women's underwear. Another postcard with chimpanzees And every one is addressed to me. Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me. Every one is, every one is, every one is addressed to me. rage 24 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 I've been thinking this for a while as well. I always thought that they should have at least one game a night on VS and games on Friday/Saturday/Sunday on NHL Network or something. One hockey game every night might increase viewers in the long run! And more importantly, I'd make me happy!

miller76 463 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 I have been watching the nhl network all evening. Good program on the 1967 expansion. They showed a lot of the O6 teams in the intro. Good old footage of the Wings, and Sawchuk. I guess its better than nothing.

Spinner 6 Report post Posted October 19, 2009 I would think the NHL network could show a game every night instead of once a week. If nothing else, air games from the previous night. Sure, watching replays from 20 years ago is cool, but I'd be more inclined to watch a more current game. Sort of like I watch Versus on Mondays and Tuesdays when the Wings aren't playing. But ya, I agree, the scheduling seems to suck a bit this year.

But ya, I agree, the scheduling seems to suck a bit this year. I went down my mental checklist and can't figure out why they don't. I don't think everyone's going to drop Center Ice on the off chance that their team's game gets picked up every once in a while. I took a quick look and they do have games Wednesday-Thursday this week following Vs. on Monday-Tuesday, so I'll try to give them some credit. Although I'm pretty salty that they're not showing the late HNIC game until Sunday afternoon now, since I've sort of adopted the Oilers as my west coast team, the one I root for in the set of games played after the Wings/most others.
