OsGOD 3 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 I am curious as to when you would deem it 'ok' to start worrying about this year. Is it after 20 games? 30 games? the Olympic break? I have yet to get a straight answer from anyone thumping the "3-4 is not the end of the world" argument. think of this as an election... do you consider your candidate a definitieve WINNER or LOSER with only 10% of the voting districts in??? i think not therefore... start to worry after 75% of the decisions are in.... no point in premature worrying
Viking_Erection 1 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 Whenever a team adds 9-new-guys to a team roster of 23, you will see that team struggle due to lack of chemistry which takes time to gel. To think the Red Wings should be playing well right now with 9 new players isn't logical. Add to the fact that 14 of the regular guys have played more NHL games (with long, grueling playoff runs) than any professional hockey team in the world, it will physically and mentally drain any living and breathing human being. I think people should cut the team a little slack and enjoy hockey - win or lose.

I have yet to get a straight answer from anyone thumping the "3-4 is not the end of the world" argument. It's your call if you decide to give up and become hopeless about the team's prospects for this season. Quite frankly, I'd have to say that it'd suck for you if you did so, but it's very common for people to simply choose to be pessimistic rather than risk disappointment. Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 This is the solution to one of them: Share that secret with Ozzie and share it in generous proportions. When he wakes up again, tell him it's the playoffs. Worth a try.

clutchngrab 12 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 I think that you are overlooking the defensive/offensive failures that we're experiencing - goaltending is important, but no goalie can win a game on his own. Right, except that when your defense is average or slightly above and your offense is average or slightly above - then your goalie actually is important. RedFlag85 33 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 I hate saying this because I love the guy to death. (Ozzie,) that is.) Ozzie, Lilja and a 2nd (maybe 1st) round pick for Pekka Rinne. or just wait and see if he doesn't come to a deal before the season ends. He'll be a UFA.
