vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted October 26, 2009 Come up with a creative suggestion for the NHLFA to draw attention to the fact the majority of hockey fans would like to see Gary Bettman replaced. Send your suggestion here. As a preemptive strike, let's be reasonable here, please.

miller76 463 Report post Posted October 26, 2009 The head guy of the NHLFA is on xm 204 (nhl home ice) , I believe twice a month on Wednesday mornings. He is a complete tool bag! He sounds like a little weasel, that doesn't talk like a hockey guy. All he does is whine and complain about teams that are in more non traditional markets. He believes Bettman is doing the game a disservice, by negotiating with large companies like Directv, Dish, and other providers that broadcast the games nationally. He thinks they need to go back to the roots of local tv only/blackouts and all. He constantly criticizes the local tv personalities on not understanding the game, not being knowledgeable about the players, and being complete homers every chance they get. He even attacks the camera guys that shoot the game. He says they do a poor job at following the puck and play! When the radio program takes calls, after this guy is on. He gets completely blasted on by every caller. But he defends himself, by stating that his views are the majority view of the NHLFA.

auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 Too bad the owners want him to stay. True. The only way to affect the owners is to not attend games, and generally speaking hockey fans aren't willing to do that.
