Cern 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 This is almost making me feel completely better after tonight's embarassment of a defensive effort.
Carman 387 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 Yes, let's all cheer for the Western Conference team that we are fighting our playoff position with, and root against a team we won't have to worry about until the SCF. Ehh, I digress it's your opinions I suppose, I guess I would of rather had San Jose not gain a game on the Wing's tonight...

We're not getting the first seed anyway, let them take it and burn themselves out in the playoffs again.
skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 Malkins injury is huge and Gonchars is pretty big but I dont think they are in bad shape at all, team-wise.

If rooting for any game that we'd like to see win actually factors into the "W", then Wings would have won tonight. Why do you care if someone roots for any particular game? Why do you care if someone roots for any particular game? Just my opinion. I tend to root against teams that could affect the Red Wing's in the standings. Not saying you have to, just trying to understand other people's perspectives.

Not saying you have to, just trying to understand other people's perspectives. Here's my perspective. I'd rather see Red Wings make the playoffs because they are contenders and playings solid hockey by winning games, not because other western teams are playing bad and losing points to the east. Just my opinion.
Carman 387 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 Ok I see where you are coming from. I just think the Red Wing's are going to need every break they can get this season.
GoOzzieGo 22 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 Tick tock until Crosby starts slashing (if he hasn't yet). I'm watching the game as I'm typing and I actually found a little bit of respect for Crosby....just a little. It was 4-0 SJ entering the 3rd. The camera crew were showing footage of the Penguins coming down the tunnel to start the 3rd in a game that clearly is not going the Penguin's way. There were a couple of very young SJ fans stretching over the rail trying to brush a hand against any of the Penguin players and none of the players even paid attention to these two kids. Crosby was one of the last to come down the tunnel and simply raised his glove up to kind of give these two kids a small high-five. Sure it's a simple act but it's something these two kids will probably remember for a long time to come. So in that respect.....a little thumbs up for Crosby. Zion 93 Report post Posted November 8, 2009 He spit on his gloves right as he was leaving the locker room. He would have pie-faced those kids if he could have reached them.
