I don't see how our defense is going to look anything but disastrous now. Kronwall was probably our second best defenseman right behind Lidstrom. Stuart is good, but now that the defense is going to have to be shaken up, I wonder if Lebda/Meech will happen. I hope with all that is holy in the world, this is not the case.

f*** Laraque

I'd rather lose and have Kronner healthy than win and have him hurt. Not that there's a direct relation there, but you know.

I don't care if he's got no history of being dirty, that's a dirty play and f*** you. I hope someone chops his f***in kneecap out next game.

What is it about Montreal that makes good players turn into dirty, disgusting, classless buffoons? Maybe the collective provincial attitude rubs off on them.

It's gonna be ugly. Lidstrom and Stewie are fine, but having elevated minutes for Ericsson, Lebda and Meech scares the hell out of me.

Gotta love Dats and Z ... Leaders on the team with the extra points in their hands... They step up and make no mistake! :goal:

Not to mention their play during the game, it really seemed like they were trying to rally the team around them when after the game got tied.

I don't mind Ericsson getting more minutes on the top 2 defensive lines because he has proven in the playoffs last year that he can be an excellent defenseman and worked quite well with Lidstrom but Meech and Lebda have no upside as far as I'm concerned and having them together would be a huge liability.

I do personally feel that Babcock would give the line promotion to Ericsson before either Meech or Lebda.

Kronwall has crossed the line from clean to dirty on occasion and seldom gets cheaped in return. Tonight he did. That's part of his game, no biggie. Had it been Z or D, I'd be furious. Kronwall? Eh, there's a price to play for playing the game you do, fella. If you're goping to be reckless and refuse to back it up, expect people to make you pay.

That said, Laraque, that was stupid and dangerous.

Sweet sweaters on the Canadiens tonight!

Close your window, lest you throw more than just logic out of it.

I'm not sure beating a s***ty team in a shootout is something to be rpoud of. I missed the game due to work, but it sounds like they're still not escaping that funk.

And now with Kronwall out? Will this team even be able to field a full roster come playoffs (if we make it?)
