He's more defense orientated, for whatever reason. Brilliant defensively.

He had a huge hot streak about a month ago, looked absolutely dominant. Driving hard to the net, making crisp passes, great on the PK. He's really cooled down though and you often don't really notice him at all. One thing working in his favour is that he is very good defensively and could be trusted.

With Helm likely back next game though I think we could look like this:

Holmstrom - Datsyuk - Bertuzzi

Abdelkader - Helm - Eaves

Miller - Draper - Leino

May - Newbury - Maltby

Assuming Hank is out, don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

holy s*** its an ahl team

Defense is great to have as a backup, but we're going to need to replace Hank's point per game pace somewhere and it likely won't be Helm or Draper. That second line centre needs IMO to be a good (prorated) 40-45 point threat or else he threatens to drag down the entire line.

If Hank's gone for a couple of months, I want a trade.

Who the hell do we have to trade?

Paul Kennedy from Sunsports just talked with Ohlund in the intermission and they showed him the hit. He was concerned for Hank and said he hopes he's back quickly. Said he has a lot of friends on the Wings and that they have so much skill he has to play the body.

By the way, Kennedy is creaming over all things Detroit related and has a hard on for JLA.

Or you can go root for the Pens.

God actually likes their team, for some reason. <_<

Doesn't matter. May should still beat his ass.

He's no friend of ours anymore.

#11 of the Lightning takes a puck to the mouth and bleeds a bit. He's on the bench being attended to and is expected to return to the ice, sans a few teeth.

Pot a few goals here, Wings, and give Howard some breathing room!

Injuries:

DET Darren Helm (wrist) will not play, Jonathan Ericsson (knee bruise) out, Dan Cleary (separated shoulder) out,

Niklas Kronwall (sprained MCL) out, Jason Williams (fractured fibula) out, Valtteri Filppula (broken wrist) out,

Johan Franzen (torn ACL) out, Andreas Lilja (concussion) out

...and now Hank. That's 9 regulars out of the lineup. When was the last time something like that happened? Sure as hell beats me.
