Yes female chest indeed (I'm not gonna ask how you know that :D). Bust probably translates best as floppi, as in someone is unsuccessful and flops.

Personally, I hope the Wings hang in there with Leino. He needs to adjust to the NHL and clearly needs to gain some strength and work on his skating. He's shown flashes of why he's been highly regarded by the Wings' brass and I think he will be an asset in time. I like the way he takes the puck to the net from down low and can come up with pucks in the corners when he's on his game. Not to compare the two players but Hudler overcame some similar issues to become a damn good NHLer (now a KHLer!). Yes, I'm aware that Hudler tore up the AHL and probably had more talent but Leino wasn't the Finnish League's MVP for nothing. If he gets sent down for not making the most of his chance with the Wings, so be it but I think he'll be back this season and doing well!

Leino is proof that not ALL rookies can come into the NHL and be magic. Especially for an undrafted player, it has to be even more difficult.

By the way, look at Stamkos last year, he was terrible... this year? Fantastic. If he doesn't get better by his 3rd year... good riddance.

Stamkos always had speed though, last year he got very little ice time and got s***ty confidence because of that and made the typical rookie mistakes...Leino however doesn't and probably never will have the speed, which is a must to be a good player in todays nhl, especially in detroit where skill and speed are so imporant together.

Stamkos was 18. Leino is in his late 20's.

Big difference as far as potential and upside goes at those ages.

What I do not get about Leino is he is working out with an Olympic speed skater to improve his skating. Has his skating improved or is he JUST that bad. :P

I think his speed has definitely improved over last year, but he was pretty slow to begin with. He needs to continue working on his speed, and also add 20lbs of muscle. He is very good controlling and battling for the puck in the corners and along the boards, but he is too easily pushed off of it. If he can get stronger, he will have a much easier time taking the puck to the net. Once he gets there, he has the hands and the shot to finish.

Problem is that he needs to do this on the GRIFFINS. The Wings need guys that already have those tools in place.

You're like the second coming of Jake Ryan. Everything I see you posting is about how Leino is lazy and sucks. It's just funny, that some guys' contribution to this forum is so one-sided. Saying the same thing x times doesn't change anything.

The great thing about Leino is he was UNWILLING to develop with Grand Rapids. He said if he wasnt in the NHL this season he was going home. Well we all see how that turned out! Send him down to GR and see if he escapes to Europe.

Good point.

Leino made it sound like he was too good for Grand Rapids. Now he looks worse than anyone else we've called up from Grand Rapids.

Maybe we should send him to the LNAH where he can toughen up and play more determined hockey.

No, just no. Leino is the most sub-par Red Wing this year. Ask anyone. I understand you are Finnish but just no.
And you're not Finnish so that means you're biased against Leino? Or not. I'm not biased. I've been fan of this club at some level since -99. I'm just saying, that last game he did play at the same level like everyone else, but still the loss was his fault somehow. And saying someone not named Lebda is the most sub-par in a team where there already is someone named Lebda is just wrong.

Well im not basing it on one game im basing it on half a season. of course all the players have had ups and downs throughout the games. he has had no ups. There was no game where i thought to myself he was even close to the best player on the ice (or even top 5).

This is pretty much endless discussion, but I know that Babcock sees bigger things in Leino and he's not going anywhere. That's why it's just a matter of time once he gets it going, hopefully.
