They are so solid defensively right now too. Quick is solid also in goal.

Looking at the schedule for January, Febuary and March, the Wings play alot of the team that are ahead of them. All they need to do is win, they will decide there own destiny.

Kings are very impressive. I told my friend a month ago that Kings look like the real deal this year and could easily be a favorite to go to the SCF if Detroit doesn't make it. They seem to have all the fundamentals to go all the way. Then again, so does the Sharks. I never taken Sharks serious in the past but I think Nabokov has really improved and the Heatley deal was just what they needed.

I would put the west in this order for favorites to go to the finals:

#1. Red Wings (if healthy)

#2. Sharks (if Heatley is healthy)

#3. Kings (if goaltending remains solid in the post-season)

#4. Avs (I've always respected that Avs as a threat until they got Quenneville. After they fired him (or didn't renew his contract) they suddenly got better again)
