FinWing 26 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 Hard to argue that choice. Very experienced and playing the best hockey of his career to boot.
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 JL is the man, I do wish he played here at one point in his career.
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 I would have given it to Raflaski, just because he played with Cheli.
HockeytownRules19 902 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 I'm pissed they didn't give at least an "A" to Rafi. The oldest player with the most olympic experience. Come on USA Management! Oh well... USA Baby!
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 I'm guessing Langenbrunner got it cause he's one of the older players on the team. Parise definitely deserves an "A". But Drury doesn't even deserve to be on the team, so he certainly doesn't deserve an "A" on his sweater.
HockeytownRules19 902 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 Looks Like: C- Jamie Langenbrunner A- Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, Dustin Brown and Brian Rafalski! Congrats to all of them... especially Rafi! http://twitter.com/TGfireandice
Theophany 110 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 I'm pissed they didn't give at least an "A" to Rafi. The oldest player with the most olympic experience. Come on USA Management! Oh well... USA Baby! Uh...they did.

CenterIce 83 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 Yep. Looks like the first article had it incorrect/incomplete. Interesting it had Drury listed as an alternate, and he wasn't officially announced that way. Here is a newer article on it. http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/olyhockey/ne...tory?id=4816553
Datsasuk 2 Report post Posted January 11, 2010 Definitely a solid choice, it's already been said but hard to argue.
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Looks Like: C- Jamie Langenbrunner A- Zach Parise, Ryan Suter, Dustin Brown and Brian Rafalski! Congrats to all of them... especially Rafi! http://twitter.com/TGfireandice That makes much more sense than the original article indicated. My jaw dropped when they said Drury was getting an "A" on his sweater. Although I'm a little surprised Suter is in that group.
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 JL is the man, I do wish he played here at one point in his career. QFT. The number of times I've watched him over the years and thought "damn he'd make a great Redwing" I fantasise about Abdelkader turning into a Langenbruner. NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 QFT. The number of times I've watched him over the years and thought "damn he'd make a great Redwing" I fantasise about Abdelkader turning into a Langenbruner. Can't really find any fault with that decision. I fantasise about Abdelkader turning into a Gallant Scoring, fighting and taking lots of penalties (the first will hopefully come, the second he has to show more of, but he's got the third one down pat!). BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted January 12, 2010 Yeah, there will be 4 assistant captains alternating... Brown, Rafalski, Parise, and Brown.
