CenterIce 83 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 March 4th I think lol. Not a major trade, but good to see some trades being made There will be a roster freeze during the Olympics and only a few days after that is the deadline. You can discuss traded during the Olympics, just not make any. Looks like a few GM's are trying to get some in before the break.

Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Feb 12th is the deadline That is the temporary deadline. Trades are put on hiatus over the Olympic break, then are resumed after the nhl starts back up again.

That's correct, Ken Daniels probably confused a few people tonight. March 3rd, at 3est is the NHL Trade Deadline. More fun than Christmas (at least it used to be). Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted February 5, 2010 In other news... the Hurricanes have a deal in place involving D Nicklas Wallin. He will spend the night to consider waiving no-trade clause http://twitter.com/TheFourthPeriod
theman19 47 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 The sharks made an intresting move that i'm sure won't get a lot of press but is huge for their team. they gave carolina a 2nd today for Veteran Nic Wallin Now most wings fans are already rolling their eyes by associating him with former wings prospect Jesse Wallin. The thing with wallin is that here in carolina he's called "the secret weapon" as he has a profound knack for scoring game winning overtime goals in the post season. Biggest knock against the sharks, they never show up in the postseason, so they went out and got a guy who only shows up in the post season. It's not like this move puts them over the top or anything, they still have a playoff seive of a goalie, I just found it intresting that they're making subtle moves instead of the big flashy chemistry killing ones they normally make (see Guerin, Bill)
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 Good move for them. He's like Andreas Lilja but a bit better at pretty much everything.
St. Michael (the Red Wing) 422 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 Decent move by the sharks. With Boyle hurt and someone else hurt on defense too. Not surprisingly that Wilson makes a splash.
Pucks 66 Report post Posted February 8, 2010 2nd seems a bit steep for a bottom pairing guy.
