Hating a player for any reason does not make one a sociopath. Attempting to alienate and argue with an entire faction of Wings fans that hate Crosby, on a daily basis. I hated Patrick Roy too, and he never hospitalized anyone (outside maybe his wife). The arrogance of that man was enough. In the sports world, it's just gonna happen. Everyone has teams and players that they "hate". It doesn't have to be personal, and it's rarely rationalized. It's just the way it is. I think the reasons for disliking Crosby are pretty clear. I agree the amount of times his names are brought up around here is a bit overboard. Then again, people bring him up when they hear about him, which is constantly. I said he's not good enough to be considered the only pariah in the history of sports. Obviously, he is putting up great numbers. It doesn't take a statistician like yourself to figure that one out. But to imply that he is receiving treatment from opposing fans that no other great player in sports history has received is just plain naive. It is brought up though because somebody needs to defend the guy. The amont of Crosby bashing is ridiculous on this thread. It's not even warranted. I have seen a ton of posters say that it isn't him that they are pissed about, it's just the attention he gets. An NBC/NHL/Bettman bashing would be more welcomed then Crosby...., Crosby....., Crosby. I like the guy now so I will defend him too. The hatred for him comes from the back to back finals. We aren't playing him in the finals this year and we play him once this season? I think we can all get past it and realize he is a good player without throwing the player himself under the bus because of the actions of the media. I don't believe I have ever seen Carman start a thread praising Crosby. That being said, he/she only goes into the numerous Crosby bashing threads or derailed threads to defend the guy. Of course you don't have to like the guy but he is a great player and it is not his fault the cameras are always on him. Like the thread about him spitting before shaking hands is thread created to stir s*** up on this board. That is more trolling that what Carman is doing. Crosby haters and Crosby supporters flock to those threads to prove why they hate/love the guy. Crosby haters preach to each other so they can laugh at Crosby jokes together.
