Does Luongo want the shutout?

"All done? Five bucks." - Pavel Datsyuk after an interview
"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

Perry reminding me yet again of why I should hate Team Canada.

How can one team have so many dickheads on it?
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

USA strategy so far: making weak shots that may or may not reach the net...

Let's take it deep boys, and win some battles!!

Oh god.....the thought of Crosby, Perry, and Pronger holding up the gold medal together. As if 09 wasn'tf****** bad enough....

I will have my remote handy, to turn off the TV if that happens. Then, I will concentrate on Wings hockey, where we sadly may possibly still be treated to constant barrages of Gary's boy.

Just look at Yzerman and Babcock. Toews, Doughty and a couple of other guys are cool as well.

I thought the US played like trash that period. They didn't play the way they've played the whole tournament. Poor skating, bad passes, and avoidable turnovers. If they're not outskating and creating turnovers, they have no shot. Really, they're playing like a bunch of kids playing in the biggest game of their life.

I didn't think Canada played that great either, so luckily, we only find ourselves down one.

40 minutes to get this thing turned around.

GO USA!

Robert Lang occasionally coasts, and spends time searching for the best pane of glass to best view the reflection of his flowing mullet. Other times he is a strong-armed force with the puck. I never knew what to expect from Robert Lang. He is The Enigma. " - A2Y

It's no one's game yet. I think both teams were very even that period overall but USA held more offensive pressure and they just need to work on getting the puck low and crashing the net to create more chances.

Except then they'll stop calling him "Stanley Cup Champion Sidney Crosby" for a while. Ugh.

Maybe Neidermayer will take the 2nd period off to contemplate retirement.

Roberto Luongo. Shutout.

Did I see that you just wrote that Luongo has a SHUTOUT going?

Hmmm. Sure hope that doesn't last.

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Luongo's due to give up a goal within the next couple of shots.

Anybody else think there should have been a call on Luongo in the middle of the first? Didn't he trip up one of our guy?

Yeah, yeah I know it's academic at this point and I am grabbing at straws/whatever at the moment. dry.gif

blush.gif I felt like a change. Funny thing is I changed it a couple of days ago, but it didn't take effect until today. Too radical?

Give me a SHUT!
