I know hes playing in the AHL right now but you gotta love how hes playing 5 fights since hes been down there and when he is on the big club he needs to keep it up!

He also has some pretty good numbers since hes been in GR:

19gp 7g 8a 15p +3

His ppg is pretty good considering how everyone else in GR has been doing.

Yeah, but don't get too excited... Kopecky had 72 points in 77 gamaes his last year in the AHL

I miss him. Regardless of any mistakes he made, I always loved watching him play. Plus, that has to be the most badass last name ever.

I think it is of Arab origin.

Yeah, that may be true of Kopecky but he never impressed in the NHL (in any form) like Abs has. The name Abdelkader is of Arab origin, I would have guessed German or the like.

Yeah and he had another fight 2 nights ago that was the second fight while Tardif was fighting Desbien. SO really he has 6 since he's been down. He did a good job against Nathan Mciver who is a pretty legit fighter in the NHL when he's up. Abs has what it takes to be a good middleweight in the NHL if he keeps it up.

He looks way too good for the AHL when I've watched the last few games, he'll be a force come playoffs with the big team.

In my whole life, I may have been punched in the face during a fight a total of 6 times (that doesn't incude the fights I've been in where they couldn't get off a punch to my face). That's a rather demanding part of the job descritpion.
