Will the Wings have another 100 point player again

I was looking at NHL.com and saw that the points leader is Sedin with 99, and it looks like he will have no problem breaking 100. It got me wondering, will the Wings have a 100 point player in the near future? Datsyuk has come close twice with 97 two years straight, but this year is proving to be different (Im not saying hes not playing well or hes going downhill, im just saying with our team changing so much, his role has changed), and Z was close one year with 92, but he is a bit injury prone. I know our style of play is a 2 way game, alot different then those teams that have 100 point players, and i know that our BEST scorers are also out BEST defensive forwards, so they are playing different roles than some 100 point players that just worry about offense. It just got me wondering, are we ganna see Dats or Z hit 100 points one day? or any Red Wing for that matter? I know this year has been a struggle for our team, and Z leads our team i think with about 64-65 points, and im not making this thread because of the crummy offensive year we have had, i was just curious in general. What do you guys think?

I honestly don't see one any time soon... Datsyuk or Z maybe if they get hot, but I still see it being unlikely...

It goes back to the old question - would you rather have 5, 20 goal scorers or 2, 50 goal scorers? It all adds up the same... I'd rather take the depth and give us more threats...

The fact that Dats normally puts up 97 means that yes, they will. Next year if he and Franzen have the same chemistry they do now I think Dats will likely have 100 points. I feel out of Dats and Zetterberg, Datsyuk is more likely to hit 100.

He has all of the tools to do it and I'd be shocked if next year he didn't end up with at least 90 pts. So that being said I think Datsyuk has a great shot at 100 pts/yr over the course of at last the next few years. I woudl imagine he breaks that mark at some point. So yes, I think we'll have one - Datsyuk.

If Franzen plays a full season, or at least 77 games, I think he'll reach 50 goals, not 100 points though. As far as 100 points goes, yes, Datsyuk can reach it.

Yes I feel they both have potential to get there. However Pavel is more likely to stay healthy for ~80 games in a season so therefore he has a better shot at reaching it.
