syntax 359 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Christ, talk about a minute to self-destruction. Glad we got the win, but I hope Babs rips the s*** outta the team tonight. I hope we can take a good 60 minute game to the Jackets on Thursday.

dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Lilja and Stuart scorers in the same game? I can safely say that will never happen again. It was way closer in the end than it should have been, but the Wings once again show how clutch they are at the end of games lately. Not Howard's best game. But after so many straight starts and after being so consistant I can forgive him a game like this. I think not having any shots against him for long periods in the 1st and 2nd period got him off his game a bit. It's difficult for any goalie to stand cold and suddenly have a 2-on-1 against you or a breakaway. 6 straight wins! Looks like Chicago is heading for a loss and LA/Nashville for OT. Either way we are in a good position.
mjlegend 155 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Nashville's losing, too. Getting to fifth should be the goal this week.

Dano33 41 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Who else is loving all these late, other-team-soul-crushing goals the Wings have been scoring lately? I didn't love it tonight, it was more of a head-shaking moment for me. The way we played in the second half, we didn't deserve to win. Other than tonight though, yeah, it's awesome. soonboomer 31 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Perfect time for a game like that. Got the win, but at the same time, ought to rid them of any cockiness they might have developed since the Olympic break.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Who else is loving all these late, other-team-soul-crushing goals the Wings have been scoring lately? Buzzer beaters and last minute goals are usually what end up in the Wings net, don't they? Yeah, it's pretty nifty to see that get turned around for a change. A.T.Hun 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Christ, talk about a minute to self-destruction. Glad we got the win, but I hope Babs rips the s*** outta the team tonight. In that respect it's almost the perfect win. They get the two points and Babs has something to get the death stare about. It's a win-win. Lovin' that goal from the Pain Train! Yak19 303 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 bad game for Howard but he is allowed one with the way he has been playing this team being who they are know that a 4 goal lead should never have been blown, they got it done in the end so colossal fail avoided Go Wings! 8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Almost had to change my pants in the third there. Two points is all that matters right now regardless of what other teams do. 6 in a row is great any way you can get them. Good win.
SDavis35 140 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 Question. As a goalie, why would you ever jump? Is it just instinct? Just seems like if you have to jump then the puck is going over the net. It's something the Oilers' goalie coach must teach... remember Salo?
Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 I dunno about the ice time, but Filppula was the only Red Wings player who couldn't get a single shot on goal. Although Lilja's goal was basically Filppula shooting.
