Opie 308 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 I have nothing but respect for Modano. He's always played with class and skill. IMO he was the (North)Stars Yzerman/Sakic. That team owed him more than ripping the C off of his chest, I think if they leave him with it, he retires in Dallas. Not sure at this age I want him in the Winged wheel, but I used to dream of it! That man could and still can skate better than 90% of the league!
Guest Lidstromboli Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Hatcher (and Morrow more recently) may have worn the C, but I think everyone knows Modano was always the real captain.

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Kinda sad seeing all these stars from the 90s hanging them up... I haven't yet retired from watching the games - so I don't know what their problem is. This!

Williams29fan 6 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Always has been, and always will be one of my favorite players of all time. Proud to say he is from MI. The league is losing a class act player at the end of the year.
