jollymania 162 Report post Posted June 5, 2010 He did have a quiet year last year so I doubt anyone will be throwing 2 million at him this summer.Seidenberg can be physical, but I think we can do better than him.To me,he's not really a 3rd defensive pairing defenseman.I feel we can do better than Lilja. well with that price it would be hard, if we can somehow fanagle sutton into the roster it would be perfect imo, 3 of the nhl's top 10 hitters in the backend, two guys over 6'4 i think for his price and how he plays when healthy Carlo Coliacovo would be a great pick decent size hits hard and good with the puck.made slightly more then Lilja this season. Guest Lidstromboli Report post Posted June 5, 2010 st. louis will re-sign Coliacovo as soon as possible if they're smart. the only thing Sutton is consistently good at is hitting. with someone like that, 2.5-3 mil (i doubt he would take much of a cut) is way too high of a price. Seidenberg would be good if he signed for 1.5 mil or less but i don't see that happening Hnidy has a bit of an injury history.

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted June 5, 2010 Sutton is some kind of man-truck hybrid who hits people so hard they forget math. Who wouldn't welcome that to Hockeytown!?!

McAwesome 754 Report post Posted June 5, 2010 Sutton is some kind of man-truck hybrid who hits people so hard they forget math. Who wouldn't welcome that to Hockeytown!?! ^That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen on this board, and that's saying something. If we could afford Sutton, we'd be crazy not to try, he would be perfect for our 3rd pair defense.

CenterIce 83 Report post Posted June 6, 2010 id like to see sutton here but i think he would be too much of a liability when it comes to penalties.. I would love Sutton (MTU connection), but he gets injured a lot. wow, seidenberg got a lot more than i expected Most contracts outside of Detroit are like that, because a lot of teams have to over pay to get players to come there. It is just adding up to the same circumstances that brought the cap into play. Players getting over paid their worth, and then, other players using those contracts to justify why they deserve more.
