Zetts 236 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=325588 His numbers were decent last year, but still kind of a large contract in my opinion.
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 He did well last year on both squads, but I agree, that seems a little steep. I guess they really wanted to keep him. He is also pretty young though, and hasn't yet realized his potential. 1 Namingway reacted to this

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 In other news, more Phoenix/Colorado swapping - the 'Yotes have traded Daniel Winnik to the Avs. Huh. I guess the 'Yotes aren't big fans of shot blocking and penalty killing.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 I think Ryan Hollweg will be a regular in Phoenix next year, especially with Winnik being dealt.Hollweg re-signed with Phoenix a few weeks ago.He spent last year with San Antonio of the AHL,but its looking more and more like he'll have a spot on the Coyotes roster next year. Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 Maybe a bit steep but still a great signing for them.
evilmrt 636 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 Maybe a bit steep but still a great signing for them. I really don't care for this deal. Wolski is only 24...and they sign him a two year deal? After which, he is an UFA???
rage 24 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 He's great for Phoenix. I still can't believe that the Avs traded him. That money isn't too bad when you factor in the team. Good signing IMO.

stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 I really don't care for this deal. Wolski is only 24...and they sign him a two year deal? After which, he is an UFA??? But what if he has maxed his potential? Then it was smart they didn't lock him in longer at higher... it could be a bad deal either way... if he blows up, they'll have to overpay, but if he never maximizes his potential, and they had signed him longer at that hit... then they're stuck paying for someone not meeting the contract... it's a rock and a hard place deal... On the other hand, Mueller turned out to be a good acquisition for the Avs.
