Nightfall 871 Report post Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/story/13832479/kariya-to-miss-season-with-concussion-syndrome Kinda sad to be honest. Kariya is a good player and I was hoping to see him playing with Selanne in Anaheim. They were magic when they were with the ducks back in the day. Guest mindfly Report post Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) Bad for him personally but good for the wings, kariya always play good against the wings, i remember he also dominated in the opening games in sweden against us. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted August 28, 2010 I hope Kariya feels better and comes out of this OK, of course. He's 36 so laying off a year won't exactly help him, career-wise. Health is more important, though. Personally, I won't miss the diving and other such performances. I always thought he was a better player than that, and was disappointed when he chose the low road. zombi 43 Report post Posted August 28, 2010 I think that this is a good decision for him. Take a year off and then come back for a few good more years before retiring.
