newfy 695 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 My thoughts. Owens has a real s*** at making this team as a 4th liner in the future. Speed and toughness, he's like a Helm that fights. Andderson is a big boy and he could still add some weight to his frame and become a real third line anchor Tatar is the real deal Hudler looks much faster now then last time he was here, the difference seems pretty big too Smith is bigger then I thought too, could use some more weight though Mursak is as fast as Helm, he tailed Helm the whole way down the ice on a back check Tardif looked pretty good out there too Those are just thoughts off the top of my head for those of you who couldn't catch the game I bet a bottom pair of Janik-Salei would be more solid than Ericsson-Salei Agreed. I really think Janik should get a shot as a permanent on this roster, Kindl has some hands for a defenseman but no other part of his game impressed me. McAwesome 754 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 I tried to watch the whole game, but I missed all but 3 goals because I'm at work, and there was no replay on the stream From what I did see, vFlip had some very strong moves early on and almost buried a couple of chances, Bertuzzi still hasn't leaned how to hold a stick with 2 hands, Cleary appears to have regained a step, Modano looks awesome wearing the winged wheel, Hudler is going to have a big year on the PP, he looks like he got stronger and faster while he was gone. I am excited about Brendan Smith, he looks like he will be a top-2 guy in a few years, hopefully the defensive aspects of his game will catch up to his offense. Tatar and Mursak are going to have huge years in GR and it will be hard to keep them off the big squad next year. I hope Owens gets a chance, he could be a good 3rd/4th line player that can hit, fight, and has decent hands and speed. I can't wait until we start playing some other teams, even if it is pre-season, I will be glued to my laptop screen. Please, please, please keep the stream links coming.
