russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 Detroit is lucky to be tied right now. Never thought I would say that against the freaking Blues. I've been impressed by the Blues. They are better than I thought they were. Also Larry Murphy seems drunk again tonight...I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! He seems drunk like 85% of the time, especially when he goes nuts over dollar hot dogs. Murph was always a favorite on the point for me and now he is a favorite in the booth... 1 thegerkin reacted to this
Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 The Blues are currently one of the top teams in the league. You're stuck in four years ago. Oh yeah, how could I forget the past couple years of dominance by the blues. A 6th seed first round sweep and two missed playoffs? Man, how could I say such crazy things when the Blues have done so well in the recent past?
Guest mindfly Report post Posted November 18, 2010 You are pissed off all the time. No only when they play like s***, like tonight... how can any fan/supporter be happy about this, it's unacceptable, it's not blues that are good it's the wings that are bad tonight. russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 The Blues are currently one of the top teams in the league. You're stuck in four years ago. Yup. I was before this game and thought they were riding a hot goalie, only I am able to admit I was wrong and that we again have some competition for the division this season coming this time from St. Louis. Their young players are finally getting to be as good as they expect and they look impressive. The Wings have made some mistakes in their own zone, but I think its been a pretty back and forth game with a SLIGHT edge to St. Louis. Its been a very good and very enjoyable game. Now lets go get the W in regulation please.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted November 18, 2010 Yeah man, because we deserve to be tied right now. Defensively, we look like the Oilers did against us when we beat them 6-2. So yeah, that period we looked like the worst team in the league, in my opinion. Cry about it. Telling me to get a life, on a ******* message board. Go be a fan of the Oilers for a couple of weeks and then get back to me.

Gave you the +1 for this. I love Murph. He's unintentionally HILARIOUS and was always a favorite player of mine Edited November 18, 2010 by thegerkin
dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 our boys need to get back to red wings hockey in the third. controlling the puck and making the other team work to get it back. right now we are kinda going end to end. hudler looks terrible, everytime he gets the puck he shoots the play in the foot, not to mention he never makes an honest effort to get the puck in the corner. titanium2 867 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 Seems like this is just the way they perform for the first game after a long break. At least the game is tied so far.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 I'm back. Wife took me to to Lowe's and said I smell like a brewery. Beer #6 goes in my tummy now, which means a 3-goal outburst in the 4rd.

The long breaks have not been kind to us this season that is for sure. Nice tempo to start the period too.

I've never been a big basher of Hudler, but he is just too easy to push off the puck and knock on his ass. He may have good hands, but not roofing the puck earlier when he had a chance on the door step is EXPECTED. Definitely not pulling his (light) weight. truebladearmy 33 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 We look like the Oilers out there. It's pathetic. It doesn't help that St Louis is playing like their lives count on it.

truebladearmy 33 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 (edited) Both Goaltenders look more stable in the 3rd. Hope Detroit can pull a goal on this PP. We're due. Right now Blues PK > Wings PP I'm starting to wonder if maybe Abbey shouldn't get some increased ice time. Blues Top Line > Wings Top Line tonight. I don't know if the team has the flu or what. Datsyuk knocked on his ass like three times tonight already. Edited November 18, 2010 by truebladearmy
Cevari 68 Report post Posted November 18, 2010 Haymaker hockey here, both teams playing surprisingly loose, giving up chances like hell. Despite the numbers both goalies have had a really strong game apart from one slip each.
