T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) The Capitals getting Hannan is the bigger news here IMO... They have needed a guy like him for years, he has potential to be an absolute monster there, I can't to see a Caps game on TSN with Pierre between benches. Great trade by the Capitals, they are a much scarier and complete team now. Edited November 30, 2010 by T-Ruff
jollymania 162 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 Hannan is a borderline top 6 dman nowadays, he isn't a physical guy anymore
rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 Good trade for both teams. Although I suspect that Washington have done a better job of addressing an important team need by acquiring Hannan. He'll provide them with a solid stay-at-home presence, leadership and character.
Guest Stolberg Report post Posted November 30, 2010 Avs just got ten times softer.
theman19 47 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 curse of the former wings prospects continues. He, like Quincey had one really good year and a so-so year before just flat out sucking. I hope he can pick his game up for the avs but Somehow I doubt it.

Norwegian Red Wing 107 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 I think this trade might have been done to make room for rookie-D Jonas Holøs. Done well with the Avs, but was sent down to LEM after the Wings-loss.

T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted November 30, 2010 Hannan is washed up. Haven't paid attention to him since he left San Jose. Even if he has sucked in Colorado though, I think he has a chance to have a resurgence and have a big impact on the Caps
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 Upgrade for both teams. At least the Caps are pretending they are getting a better D core.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 Maybe Chris Stewart will be out longer than originally expected? With Hannan on defense in Washington, does this mean John Erskine lost his 3rd pairing spot???
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 Fleischmann is a good regular season player, and could regularly put up 50-60 points if played with skilled linemates. He's got very nice offensive potential, still, and is the reason why I think the Avs did well in this trade. His problem is that he's streaky and each season he's looked out of his depth in the playoffs, often being a healthy scratch. If he can find a way to overcome this, he'll be a good get by Colorado.
