kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) [insert name or description of inert object here] for Hudler = win ***just please let the bag of pucks be at least six feet tall this time Edited December 13, 2010 by kook_10
Booster313 138 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 At this point I would take pretty much anything for Hudler... I hope that he can turn his game around.
Guest Stolberg Report post Posted December 13, 2010 upshall makes $2,250,000 and his contract is over at the end of the year
Guest Hatethedrake! Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Why would Phoenix (or any NHL team) want Hudler? He has zero trade value.
Original-Six 254 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 I was thinking more along the lines of Stamkos. Anything less is unexceptionable imo.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Hudler for any gritty guy with potential to score goals would be a win. No one is gonna make a trade like that, Hudler has little value right now. Just keep him in the press box, let Drapes play, he's looked really good with Helm and Eaves. achildr1 255 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Huds still has value, dont kid yourself. You think the Islander's wouldn't pony up for a guy with his talent, a ring, and coming from the Wings winning culture? Call Garth, i'm sure he'd listen intently. Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Holland has a good report with the Kings GM and I'm guessing Stevie as well along t th Flyers GM. Anyone on those teams we could trade Hudler and a mid round pick for? How about Ritola
Ozzie30 170 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Sounds good, but I don't think Holland could get Scottie Pippen for Hudler at this point.

newfy 695 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 I would do Hudler and a third for Upshall. He provides some grit, hes a bit of a pest, he can put the puck in the net and he's fast. He would look great on a line with Abby and Cleary. He's the type of guy I think our team could use come playoff time if we add anyone
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 I would do Hudler and a third for Upshall. He provides some grit, hes a bit of a pest, he can put the puck in the net and he's fast. He would look great on a line with Abby and Cleary. He's the type of guy I think our team could use come playoff time if we add anyone I've always liked Upshall. He's produced 12 points playing mostly on the 3rd/4th line in Phoenix. Another guy I like is Matt Martin from the Islanders. Solid hitter, and can play some hockey as well. With the Islanders most likely being sellers at the deadline, i'd love to see Hudler and maybe a pick for Martin. Another team that will be selling at the deadline will be Edmonton, and I really think Ryan Jones would be a solid pickup for us, as well. Another good two-way player that should fit right in with the bottom 6. Plenty of options out there.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 What about David Clarkson, or Chris Neil, or Derek Dorsett(my pick). I wouldn't even mind having, gag, Steve Ott here. I also wouldn't mind seeing Brandon Prust as well. I'd take all these guys if we could trade Hudler for them. Some GMs of these guys would even offer us more, and some would take a pick or two to sweeten the pot.
henrik40 76 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 I think many of you are over-valuing Huds right now, including the guy who wants 6 foot bag of pucks.

Holy crap, now if Newfy and UKwing agrees with me, then I'll know I made a somewhat valid point with the proenforcer crowd I've been a huge Dorsett fan. The kid is going to put up 40+ points a season some day while racking up the Fighting Majors.

Haha its a great point I watched Dorsett when he played in Columbus' old AHL Affiliate in Syracuse and knew he was gonna be a regular in the NHL. I've always liked Jared Boll as well. Him and Dorsett play similar styles: tough and nasty, but they can play some hockey as well. With New Jersey dwelling near the bottom of the league, I think Clarkson will be on his way out. His contract is up at the end of the year, and who knows what their plans are with him. He'd add much needed grit to the lineup.
