Not sure how many guys caught this during the game when Metric was on during the 2nd period intermission, I noticed what I thought was a guy sacking his buddy. Turns out it was;

The video's gone kinda viral since Sunday (12,000+ hits, which for hockey is pretty decent). The sackee has even come forward. Might have him on the radio show this Saturday.

Moral of the story: be aware when appearing on the jumbotron.

Question: Is there any value/point to having them on the radio? Would appreciate input.

I love it. Total guy thing. Remember we used to have to be careful of that when outside having a smoke at Specs Howard. This one guy was so stealthy and skilled that he could walk in between two guys talking and just sack them both.

Putting them on the radio depends on the other material you have lined-up. If it would otherwise be a slow day, I think having them on for a few minutes to talk about the game would be entertaining. However, it would be a bit of a sideshow to the normal hockey news.

Good point. I figured we could squeeze them in for 5 minutes to discuss game and the sacking but I'm being out voted. Ah well. Will keep the shenanigans for the web site.

Haha this is pretty hilarious. Reminds me of high school when my friends and I would ball tag each other in the hallway walking past one another. Good times (if you weren't getting ball tagged).

Some one on the Wings did this to Macdonald. I think it was at the end of the second Boston game. I don't have tivo or anything but i remember seeing it. If someone has that game taped or something they might be of more help, but i remember seeing it and laughing about it

Couple of guys I used to skate with used to do this all the time, until one of them saw the other coming and tried to strike first. The original guy panicked trying to avoid it, feet came out from under him and he cracked his head open on the ice.

Moral of the story: Wear a helmet. And a cup too I guess.
