2nd time it's happened this game. Funny part was he got it back upside down, Thornton still wouldn't shoot, then he lost the stick a 3rd time. Funny stuff

Thornton was in a good Gretzky position behind the net, and since he's a pass-first kind of guy (plus Quick was squaring up with Thornton).. it was very dangerous.

Finally the game taking a turn more for the exciting going back and forth.

That break by Smyth wasn't that dangerous. He bobbled the puck and couldn't get the puck off before having the worst possible angle at the net.

I'm also not seeing the usual gritty Ryan Smyth I used to see in Edmonton. He looks soft and doesn't crash the net like years past.

Sadly he's looked very old and slow this season.
