Think of it this way - you fall and hit your head on two coffee tables... one is round and has curved edges, the other is square and has points

Which one would you rather hit your head on?

The spring loading is to absorb the impact... I like it and think it's far overdue...

Nothing yet about the league getting more Red Wings biased officials, both on-ice and off-ice? Pity.

Fixed it for you. This, after all, is what everyone on LGW wants. :P

I'm amused by the League's stance, saying that the greatest advantage to the shallower net is that it will lead to more wrap-around goals. It will soon become the new "most exciting play in hockey".
