Dunno if this has been mentioned but Smith and Mccollum are both training with Gary Roberts this week in the biosteel sports camp

Nice clip in there of Smith going one on one vs Cammy

nothing beats good old russian trainings when you put 1 kilo on your each arm and foot in the morning and drop it by the midnight... You do all this stuff and a bit more.

Great news. Training with big Gary helped turn Stamkos into the star he is, hopefully he rubs off on Mccollum and Smith.

Its just a one week camp but hopefully its enough to help Smith figure out whta he has to do to be a force out there. Smith is a do it all type guy like Roberts was, he could hit, fight score, and would belong on anyones top line.

Hopefully all these apects of Smiths game can be learned and rubbed off of from Roberts while hes there for a week.

Edit: for the record, Biznasty is a beauty I would love to see him as the wings 13th forward. Mitch Callahan and himself were chirpin eachother the other day on twitter actually

Bissonnette isn't the greatest fighter, but he is a guy I wouldn't mind having as an extra forward. The thing is, he is extremely one-dimensional.

if you check his fighting card he's won quite a lot of fights, though.

good to see mccollum at this camp. gary roberts does not mess around with his training.

Yeah he does decent. He was used sparingly in Phoenix last year, playing in just 48 games, collecting 71 penalty minutes. He seems like a great character guy, that's for sure.

Roberts was an extremely well-rounded player in his day. Hopefully Smith will develop that style while training with him.
