Hal Gill? :no2:

So looking at my proposed line-up, which of the top 6 forwards do you replace with Brunner? Which of the bottom 6 forwards? He will get a shot at making the team in Training Camp. If the team was so certain he would be on the team then why would they sign him to a 2 way contract?

Franzen's lazy ass or bump Nyquist down to make a 3rd scoring line with Helm and Bertuzzi. Or even put Brunner on the 3rd line with Helm and see what kind of havoc their speed can create.

yup i think he can be had for a one yr deal , big body experienced player and cup winner, kills penalties and blocks shots , has a long reach ... whats not to like ??? one year deal isnt a big risk if you ask me , were gonna need someone to block shots now that stuarts gone

At least we're not going to have to worry about Stuart scoring on our own net anymore. :hehe:

if those loser pens manage to get parise and suter does anyone think holland will have the balls to make a big deal ?? there's still semin and a few others in ufa we can go for but i heard a while back anaheim was thinking of trading getzlaf who has 1 yr left on his deal

I think getzlaf would fit in nicely here and babcock coached him ....dont know if itll happen but im just wondering if holland has the balls to pull the trigger for good players like paul holmgren

Not saying to trade the whole team , i just think were too loyal we hold on to everyone way to long and never trade anyone

Anyways lets hope kenny goes nuts and signs suter, parise, semin and prust

If we miss out on Suter and Parise, trading for Getzlaf would be retarded. It would cost most of our tradeable assets (assuming we even could make a package the Ducks would accept) and we'd still be left with a Grand Canyon-sized hole on defense.

Our forwards are fine, even if we have to settle on Plan D or E (ie Hudler). 2nd best UFA defenseman is Wideman. Think about that. We miss out on Suter, I think we try for Yandle. I haven't heard any rumors of anyone else that might be available, but any major trade would have to be for defense. We end up with Carle and Quincey to replace Nick and Stu, it's going to hurt.

My DREAM roster:

The only thing is I assume we won't get Parise and get Suter. Just a feeling so I went with Semin here. Imagine that third line with size just terrorizing... The only thing is I would consider moving one of Eaves or Cleary for cap reasons next season and keeping Mursak.
